Technology: Year 7 Making our prototypes

This week we have been making our outcomes

Room 14 have thanked us for the opportunity to play math games

Room 14 are our bilingual Samoan class

we are now making our games using computers

we have to look for the right images that will be suitable for our games

we have to size our images to the correct measurements using the rulers

we have to be smart about how we create our outcome

copy- the squares, the dots, the text boxes

butter- for our toast game

chocolate chips for our cookies

trees for our matching game

trains - this game goes to 100- it's easy once you set up the first page- that's where all the hard work is done

next week we continue the making

Technology: Year 7 Testing our prototypes

We have spent some time making our prototypes

they are simple

we just want to check that they work

we have to make sure they are able to be played

and this week we tested them

off to visit Year 0/1's

we had to become the teacher

we had to help them understand our game

we had to engage them

we had to be confident

we had to help them succeed

some of us spoke in Samoan

they seemed to enjoy our games

we got feedback

what do you think? what do you like about it?

what don't you like about it? how could it be improved?

now off to fix any issues and make the games...
